Christmas Eve 2011

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve with our family.  We went to a restaurant for an early dinner (a tradition we started last year).  It was yum!

Back at home we read Luke 2 and acted it out as well!  Luke was a good sport and played the part of Mary (he actually thought it was pretty cool), David was Joseph, Caden was a shepherd, Porter was little baby Jesus, and I narrated for them.

What a cute Mary!
Baby Jesus got a little lost in the blanket and didn't last too long.

Enter the shepherd.

Baby Jesus did a little better sitting upright.

The actors.

We then watched the new Nativity Bible Videos on our church's website.

The boys were enthralled with them.

We then each opened our Christmas Eve present.  Traditionally it is pajamas.  This year we mixed it up a bit and we all got the University of Arkansas lounge wear.

Porter has been eager to open presents for weeks.  He is not as sneaky as he thought and was only able to rip open two presents before this...and both of them his own.

Cookies were left for Santa, of course!
The boys even got a note from Santa in return.
