THREE

When August arrives, "Birthday Season" arrives.  We have all 4 of our children's birthdays within 25 days of each other, beginning mid-August.

Although we did not plan it that way, it is AWESOME!

 

Porter was first up and he turned
THREE!

The Stats

Height:  37.5 in. (42nd Percentile)
Weight:  31 lbs. (42nd Percentile)



 

 

This boy is a character.

He wakes up happy or laughing.  Every day.

Thinks he is SO big.  He says to me frequently, "I am as big as you."  This is his way of saying, "When my big brothers go to the neighbors to play, I am big enough to go too."  (Only...he's not).

Loves to ride his balance bike.  And any other toy with wheels.  If one is out of the garage, they are ALL out of the garage as he trades off frequently.

Sucks his thumb while he sleeps.

Keeps telling me he is going to preschool this year.  He will actually be staying home with me!

Has loads energy.
Loves to mow the lawn with his new mower.  When Caden asked if it really cuts, Porter, in all seriousness, quickly flipped it over and said, "Yeah, right here."  I love that he really believes he is helping his dad keep the lawn short.

His favorite TV show is "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood."  (And with the "Mr Roger's" theme song, why wouldn't it be?).

He has finally stopped rifling through the garbage at every turn. :)

Every time he sees his nursery leader in the halls at church, he loudly shouts, "That's my Girl!" while pointing his finger at her.
Has made huge strides in his speech during the last 6 months.
Is a hard worker.  He loves to be out in the yard (or anywhere else) helping with anything anyone will let him.
The most frequent words in his vocabulary are "Yup" and "Uh-huh."

Still gives the BEST hugs.

Gift Opening.

 

Using one of the much loved gifts.  Whenever he sees a dandelion in the lawn he runs to get his mower to mow it down (he knows how much those things bug me!).

 

Porter loved his 3-year well child visit at the doctor.

After just about everything the doctor did (blood pressure, listening to heart, etc.) he would say, "I like dis."  He even asked for a flu shot and when he was denied (at least until next month), he was disappointed.  Funny kid.
