Utah

Before heading to Lava Hot Springs, we spent some time with David's family in Utah.

We went on the "Heber Creeper" Train.

 

 It really does just "creep" along.

 

 

 

 

 

The train was robbed along the way.

 

Except that the "robbers" gave us money (the chocolate kind).  The boys loved the fake robbery.

When we reached the end of the line, the engine detached from the front of the train and attached itself to the back.  The boys are at the end of the train watching the engine back up.

It had been WAY too long since we saw David's siblings!

This is Joey (D's brother) and his wife, Meg.  It was so good to spend time with them!

They live right next to a Trax station so we took train #2 to downtown Salt Lake City.

 

 

The boys loved how fast this one went.

We had lunch and hung out at City Creek.

(and I got in a little Father's Day shopping too).

 

 When I was looking through these pictures, Porter saw this one and said, "He's nice" (referring to Joey).  He is nice!  We can't go so long without seeing each other again!!
