6 Months

Ryland's 6 Month Stats:

Weight:  16 lbs. 1 oz. (24th percentile)
Height:  25.5 in. (18th percentile)

Still growing, as always.

Got his first tooth at 5.5 months.  A second soon followed.
On the rare occasion we are left alone in a room together, he is constantly looking around for his brothers.  I think, somehow, that he likes all the noise they make.
Loves to splash in the tub.
Has moved from his infant carseat to a big boy carseat.  So far, he seems to like it better.
Loves to grab his feet.
Has started rice cereal and likes it (especially when made with mama's milk!).
Has tried green beans and squash too.  Not a fan of green beans.
Kicks his legs when excited.
Takes 2-3 naps a day.
Continues to be a great night sleeper.
Loves to sleep with one hand tucked between the mattress and the bumper pad.
Pulls his socks off while sitting in his carseat.
With the addition of teething this boy is not quite as content as he used to be, wants to be held more, sucks his thumb more often and is cuddlier than ever.
He is the center of attention in our family.

-------------------------------------

What a double chin!
At his 6 month appointment, both the nurse and the doctor commented on how they were surprised to find his stats on the "lower end" as he is not lacking in rolls.

Just chillin' on the floor.

More chillin'.

Taking a break from playing to suck the thumb.

Big boy in the high chair.
He is smiling at Caden, his silly brother.  This was taken before tasting rice cereal for the first time.

Now that he knows what sitting in the high chair means (Food!) it is nearly impossible to get a picture of him smiling while eating.  He whines and cries unless the spoon is in his mouth.

Getting closer to sitting up.

I won't fall down if I do this.

And here's a little video of Ryland's first experience with green beans.
I love Porter's commentary in the background, especially when he says "gross" (he can't say the "s" sound, so it comes out "grow").
