We had a lot of fun spending a day at Jordanelle Reservoir during our family reunion in July. When one group was out on the boat, those that remained spent time enjoying the beach.
The kids were just happy to be in the water.

Porter sure loved all the attention he got from Tiff.
Luke and Caden couldn't get enough of these inner tubes.
They would paddle way out and back using toy beach shovels.
Sammie and Scout enjoyed the inner tubes as well.
Along with Ella and Mia...except they got smart and used the raft oars.
Porter just chillin' in the water.
Michelle and Jason weren't able to be with us for the whole reunion, but they made it for the boating day.
Braxton and Jason went out fishing...and caught some too.
Ryland LOVES water and wanted free reign to do whatever he wanted. He is the most fearless of our children. We need to get this boy into some swimming lessons because he is scary.

I married a man who likes to kayak. Within days of marrying him, I was hooked too (we kayaked the San Juan Islands on our honeymoon).
We rented a kayak on the Jordanelle and are hoping our boys take a liking to it because we plan on doing it a lot more as they get older.
We had the kayak for 4 hours and had intended to pass it around to others (I was hoping to convert the whole family), but boating takes a long time and we had to return the kayak before the first group was back. My mom was the only one who was able to test it out.

Riding the tube with Luke and Porter.
They loved it. Especially since Scott (my bro and the driver) knows my children and knew not to dump them in the water!
All smiles (if you could see us).
My one and only.
Tiff was the "rope girl"...she did an excellent job towing the tube in and slowly letting it back out again behind the boat.
Scott gave his son, Ryker, and Michelle a pretty good ride.
David going out with the Luke and Caden.
The last time my kids were on a boat (2 years ago) they hated it. Absolutely hated it. They whined and complained (there may have been some tears) and begged and begged to get back to shore. It was a pretty miserable experience.
I was so glad this year that they had fun and wanted to go again and again. It may be asking too much to get them on some skis next year, but it would be fun to try (even though it will probably take some serious convincing).
Without the littles on board, Scott took Tiffany and I on quite the ride. We laughed and laughed. Love this girl!
David took his turn as driver so Scott could get out on the tube.
Scott loves a rough ride and David did his best to please him, although I am not sure it was enough.
This is when Luke decided he did not want to look at what might happen to Scott in the water. Maybe this cautious child will not be getting on skis next year. Hmm...
Ashlee...where are you when a girl needs to teach her boys to water ski!?! My friend, Ashlee, got her 20 month old son to water ski this summer!! Seems unbelievable, but I saw the video as proof.
Rypie took a much needed nap on the boat, but once awake, he loved watching the all the action.
And talking to grandma about it.
My mom surprised me by getting out on the tube too.
