It is birthday season at our house.
This week was all about Porter. He turned 2!
Happy Birthday little buddy.
We love you!!
Birthday boy waking up to balloons.
He wasn't so sure about the streamers in his doorway.
Now he can't get enough of them.
Checking out the gifts.
Opening.
Enjoying his Duplo Lego's.
Now he can play alongside the big boys as they play with their smaller Lego's without being pushed away for "destroying" their creations.
Trying to blow out candles.
It proved unsuccessful with a mouthful of carrots he had been holding onto from dinner. Luke and Caden were happy to help.
Yum, yum.
David took the day off so we spent some time at Hobbs State Park and Visitor Center.
We had never been there and wanted to check it out. Wish I had felt better (I'm a little low on energy these days!) so we could have spent more time exploring.
The boys checking out the interactive cave display.
Watching a short film in the visitor center.
Snakes and turtles.
Walking a 1/2 mile trail where a mill, blacksmith shop, etc. were located during and after the Civil War. The buildings are all gone...so not much to see.
Looking out to where a building once existed.
It cracks me up that these boys actually seemed interested in what used to be standing there.
Dragging their feet, not wanting to go home.
