Da Boys

Oh, how we love these boys!

We have lots of dreams and hopes for these little guys...one is that they will always be the best of friends.  We pray often that they will be.

These little people just keep growing up.  Right before our eyes.  I keep asking Luke and Caden if they can stop growing.  They both grin (or laugh) and tell me that they can't. 

Bummer.

And Porter...well, he's growing way too fast for our liking.  

We'll just have to resort to capturing this moment in time so we can remember later what they were like at this age.

 

Luke - 5 yr.

 

Loves preschool and learning.  Currently working on sight words at home.

(I have no doubt he will love Kindergarten next year).

  

Is all things order and structure.

 

Never lets us forget about "Happies" and "Sads" at dinner time.

(At dinner we take turns telling each other one sad thing and one happy thing that happened during our day).

 

Loves playing the Wii with dad before bed.

Frequently gets a sticker at preschool for being a good listener.

 

Enjoys going to the library and loves being read to.

Loves cars, building train tracks, Lego's, puzzles and games.

 

Has a sparkle in his eyes.

Asks lots and lots of questions.

 

Learned to ride a bike this summer and can't get enough of it.

 

Cheers others on when they do something well or learn a new skill.

 

Loves his brothers.

 

Caden - 3 yr.

 

Loves his one-day a week preschool/playgroup and wishes it were more frequent.

 

Working on getting better at his ABC's.

 

Is everything laid-back.

 

As we were driving to pick up Luke from preschool this week, he sweetly said to me, "Mom, Luke is my friend."

(Yes!  Just what this mama wanted to hear.  I even got all teary-eyed!).

 

Loves trains, cars, planes, and trucks.

 

Is following Luke's lead by asking lots of questions.

 

Loves to be read to.

 

Is filled with charm.

Loves to play in the dirt.

 

Had fun learning to ride a balance bike this Fall.

 

Is very good at saying, "Thank You."

 

Loves his brothers.

Porter - 17 Months

Is getting into everything.

(I think he has ransacked every drawer and cupboard in the house)

Has deemed walking worthy of his time.

(Yay!!)

Is very active.

Loves sleep...along with his thumb and blanket.

Wants to be doing whatever his brothers are doing.

Loves to scream and be loud.

Mimics just about anything anybody does.

Loves to flirt with, smile, and wave at strangers.

Takes off his shoes the moment he is strapped into his carseat.

When he is asked if he can be happy he grins real big, shows all his teeth and squints his eyes.

(It's adorable!)

Babbles non-stop in the car.

(He has a few real words too)

Loves to give hugs to his big brothers.
