Wagner Farm

Our ward has a "park day" once a week throughout the summer. It's fun to get the kids out and about with friends and it's great for me to get in some chat time with friends as well. Today we went to Wagner Farm instead of a park. This is an actual working farm that is open to the public to visit at no cost.
Here's Luke about ready to enter the barn. Inside he found baby cows (calves).

Caden is checking out the cows outside.

In for a closer look.

Here's the pigs. They were being fed peanut butter by one of the workers. Who knew they ate peanut butter? Caden backed away pretty quick when one of them came after his hand.

There is a building at the farm called the Heritage Center where the kids can work on their farming skills (or at least pretend to). Luke's testing out his muscle strength. He was very proud of himself when he found he could lift the bale of hay to the top with those skinny, little biceps.

Gathering chicken eggs.

Success! Thankfully, the egg was plastic as Caden began using it as a ball.

My favorite part was watching Luke milk a cow.

He got a kick out of it too.

Yee-haw.
